Egyptians and elections (first draft)
An election is a formal decision making process by which a population chooses an individual to hold public position. Elections have been the usual mechanism by which modern representative democracy operates since the 17th century. Elections concept differ from country to another especially between the developed and underdeveloped countries.
On one hand, elections in the developed countries, for example Britain and the United States of America, people know their rights and have the awareness of using it, so they keen to go to vote, although they may know that it is may be unfair and in spite of this they go to voting and some of them accompanied by his children to make them exercise their rights in the future.
On the other hand, in the third world countries, for example in Egypt, we notice that most of people don’t care about elections and they may don’t know what is the date of election or why it for. I saw once on TV an interview with some people on the street, asking them about elections and their opinion, I was shocked when I found that about 80% of people will not go to vote for people's assembly elections and they say that their votes have no use and elections anyway are unfair and also the government will choose what it want.
In my opinion, my vote is municipality and also my right so I must vote. And if everyone said that all elections are unfair and did nothing we will be as we are underdeveloped country and in this case we will not deserve freedom and have no right to ask for democracy. At the end I want to say to everyone if you want the change start by yourself.
